A set of slide packs looking at how outcomes vary across the protected characteristics in Essex.

Each slide pack shows the distribution of residents who have the protected characteristic across Essex.

The slides also compare the distribution of the protected characteristic in the general Essex population and in residents who have a specific outcome (e.g. disability). For example if black people make up 10% of the Essex residents, then they should also make up 10% of the disabled Essex residents. If certain groups are over or under represented for certain outcomes, then this is potentially evidence of inequality.

We will also be adding a short summary of headlines from this work, along with a dashboard which will allow for more detailed geographic and protected characteristic breakdowns, and comparisons between areas. These will be added to this page as they are completed.
