Essex Joint Strategic Needs Assessment reports 2025

These supporting documents accompany the Health and Wellbeing Strategy (2026–29), which sets out a shared ambition to improve health outcomes, reduce inequalities, and create the conditions for people to live well at every stage of life. They draw on updated evidence from the 2025 Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and reflect the priorities residents and partners highlighted through the statutory consultation process.

The reports provide refreshed insights across four strategic focus areas:

• Communities – Building healthy, resilient, and connected communities

• Children and Young People - Improving life chances for all children and young people

• Employment - Enabling more people to get into work and remaining in work

• Health - Creating opportunities to improve health and wellbeing, including reducing the impact of poor health
