Essex County Council's Data and Analytics service have projected the likely impact of rising energy prices on our residents, in light of the rising energy price caps.

The three main drviers of fuel poverty are:

  • Low incomes
  • Sub-standard energy inefficient homes
  • High energy prices.

The presentation below sets out the likely increases in levels of fuel poverty in Essex as a result of the price cap rise, the impact of government intervention and the likely areas and types of households most likely to be adversely affected.

The estimated percentage of households in fuel poverty by Essex LSOA is available in the CSV.
